Properly made jewelry can be exposed to water without damage. All Ignis Ferrumque wooden jewelry is moistened during the finishing process, to help prevent the grain from being raised when wet, however it is natural for jewelry to roughen somewhat overtime when worn in the shower, or even simply from the skins natural moisture. To refinish your jewelry you can clean it occasionally with 600 grit sand paper, and refinish it with a natural oil.
